Taras Grosh, MD
Dr. Taras Grosh is a board-certified anesthesiologist, academic physician, and perioperative medicine expert with extensive experience in regional anesthesia, acute pain management, orthopedic anesthesia, and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) pathways. As a member of Pulse Global Consulting Alliance, Dr. Grosh brings nationally recognized clinical expertise and academic leadership to support healthcare organizations in advancing perioperative excellence, improving patient outcomes, and developing high-performing surgical care models.
Dr. Grosh received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his anesthesiology residency and fellowship training in Pain Medicine at Tufts University/Baystate Medical Center. His advanced training and clinical experience have established him as an expert in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia, multimodal analgesia, opioid-sparing strategies, and evidence-based approaches to optimizing surgical recovery.
Dr. Grosh serves as Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and practices as an attending anesthesiologist at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He has held leadership roles including Section Chief of Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Service and Director of Orthopedic Anesthesiology, where he has led initiatives focused on perioperative optimization, regional anesthesia innovation, enhanced recovery protocols, and improving surgical efficiency.
Throughout his academic and clinical career, Dr. Grosh has been actively involved in physician education, clinical research, and the advancement of perioperative care. His work focuses on translating evidence-based practices into scalable clinical programs that enhance quality, improve patient experience, reduce opioid utilization, and accelerate recovery after surgery.
